Working alongside our asset disposal and decommissioning service, we work with a comprehensive range of metals - including high value nickel alloy and stainless steel - to give you the best possible return on your scrap. Once processed, you will receive certification that includes an exact calculation for carbon offsetting, with the need to promote green credentials more important than ever.
We process metals that reach us from all over the world and closer to home - working with many Aberdeenshire businesses, from engineering firms to farms, from plumbing to power companies, taking care of their surplus material and metal waste. Our custom-designed skips which can accommodate mixed or specific metal types, are dotted across over 100 businesses in Scotland and collected by our own trucks equipped with the latest emissions-reducing technology.
Everything we do is geared towards being environmentally friendly. We repurpose what can’t be recycled, which is why you’ll find a state of the art plasma-cutting and pipe-cleaning service at our Birchwood facility. All of the material we handle is economically prepared, removed of all contaminants and plasma-cut to length so our clients can then take delivery of a ready-to-use product. Birchwood is also our UK storage facility, so if you have anything surplus and you’re not entirely sure what you want to do with it or unsure where it’s going to end up, we can take care of it.
We can come to you to inspect and price your scrap anywhere in Scotland. Our Positive Material Identification system can confirm the exact grade of your metal for full transparency, so you know exactly what your metal is and what it’s worth. All weights and values are then logged onto our Material Tracking System – ideal for compliance purposes and keeping that all-important audit trail intact. A certificate of destruction can also be provided for the safe disposal of hazardous items. All materials purchased are then sold on to UK-based foundries for streamlined logistics and to keep our carbon footprint as minimal as possible.
And for added peace of mind, we come fully certified. We are licensed by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency [SEPA] to responsibly process and dispose of waste, and a member of the Lloyds Register – a globally recognised industry standard for compliance. We are also registered with Achilles FPAL and SEQual – leading networks for supply chain procurement support.
