MAXIMISE YOUR RECOVERY.

RAM DECOM

We understand how daunting it can be to begin decommissioning. Weighing up the costs, environmental impacts, risks, timescales, logistics and compliance can be a tricky business. So, why not let us do that all for you. You will find our approach to be one in which cost-effective processes are implemented, risks are mitigated, and compliance boxes are ticked in line with the very latest regulatory requirements.

Our 16-acre onshore decommissioning and metal recycling site at Birchwood in Aberdeenshire is an all-in-one processing facility to handle every element of your material handling needs – the only one of its kind in the UK. It benefits from an on-site 50,000kg weighbridge and pipe washing and storage area, and includes a closed loop drainage system, with primary and secondary interceptor tanks and water storage. We have in-house radiation protection supervisors, and all relevant staff have undergone NORM awareness training. And all of this is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Our full waste management license approved by SEPA enables us to receive all manner of subsea material, encompassing concrete mattresses, pipes, cables, umbilicals, structures, rigid pipe, flexibles and general debris. We also possess a modular (EASR) permit from SEPA for the safe handling of hazardous and contaminated materials including NORM, and hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, as well as Achilles FPAL & SeQual accreditations.

With over 30 years’ experience working with the Oil and Gas industry’s biggest names, we are specialists in dealing with surplus tubulars and equipment from well plug & abandonment and platform dismantling. We’ve built up strong connections over the years with an extensive network of reliable buyers across the world, who benefit from our influence.
