Sponsoring the Craig Brown Memorial Trophy

We are delighted to be sponsoring the inaugural Craig Brown Memorial Trophy U14 Tournament, which will honour former Dons Manager, Director and Ambassador, Craig Brown CBE.

The tournament is set to take place at Cormack Park, the club's state-of-the-art training facility. Scheduled for the 14th and 15th October 2023, it will provide a platform for the club to recognise and pay tribute to the enduring impact of Craig. We’ve been a proud supporter of Aberdeen Football Club’s Youth Academy since 2020 and in May 2022 we boosted our investment to become the academy’s official partner as part of an initial three-year deal.

Nurturing personal development and supporting local sporting causes has always been a core element of our ethos, and something close to the heart of our Managing Director, Jim Stewart. “I’ve always tried to develop young talent in the business, and as it has grown, it has allowed me to apply this same focus to Aberdeen F.C, a club I have passionately supported all of my life. Just as investing in personal development has made RAM Tubulars stronger, I hope that our support for the academy can help to create a similar resiliency and depth of talent long-term. It’s a privilege to be part of this great event, as Craig was also a dedicated advocate for youth football over so many years.”

Craig Brown’s dedication to nurturing young talent and fostering a winning team spirit served as an inspiration for aspiring footballers throughout the country. Aberdeen F.C, in collaboration with local business partners, have established this tournament to celebrate not only the memory of Craig Brown, but also the vibrant spirit of youth football.

The tournament will feature an exciting 11-a-side format, bringing together U14 teams from some of the most renowned football clubs. Aberdeen Under 14s will face off against their counterparts from Dundee, Motherwell, Rangers, Preston, Manchester United, Cliftonville, and Bohemians, promising thrilling matches and showcasing the immense talent within the U14 age group.
